The southern tip of the island is a spacious and panoramic landscape bordered by long sandy shores. Its central hills are surrounded by a good circuit-road linking the main settlements of Gennadi, Apolakkia and Kattavia. The itinerary described here begins at the main junction at Kalathos, west of Lindos, where the section on the northeast of the island ended, covers the sites of interest inside and outside the loop of the circuit road, and finishes at the island’s southernmost tip.
Rhodes Island is part of the Dodecanese Island Group, Greece.
